Our Mission

Baskets for Babies joins with corporate sponsors and concerned individuals in acquiring the necessary resources to provide infant-formula; while empowering new and expectant mothers with take-home educational materials, and the contact information of paediatric-focused professionals such as: Lactation Consultants, Health Nurses, Counsellors. In addition, BFB assists in identifying local-community based Drop-in Center’s so both parent and child can receive meaningful on-going support.

Why Help

Not everyone has the requisite knowledge, everyday support, role models, or financial resources to properly care & provide for a newborn. We’ve all seen parents cuddling and cooing with their newborns, rubbing their wee button noses, providing for their every need, and giving them everything under the Sun. Yet for some mothers, nurturing a newborn feels utterly impossible. Reaching out to bottle-aged children, as well as new and expectant mothers in need, is what we do.

 

A Healthy Head Start!

BFB is a charitable organization dedicated to fulfilling the immediate needs of bottle-aged children with:

  1. Formula
  2. Diapers (based on availability)
  3. Clothing (based on availability)

In addition, BFB endeavours to empower new & expectant mothers with:

  1. Take-home educational materials
  2. Referrals to professionals with a paediatric-focus such as:
  • Lactation Consultants
  • Nurses
  • Counsellors
  • Local community based drop-in centers to receive on-going meaningful support.
